Over the summer, I interned at a a plastic surgeon’s office in another country. Got a very enriching experience about hospitality and the health care profession, in which I hope to have a career (orthodontist).
I also taught english to middle schoolers while I was in another country this summer
Two summers ago, I went to a rural village in Hanoi, Vietnam and helped restore a schoolhouse, taught kids english, planted trees, etc.

Essays: common app is solid, supplements are good as well
Teacher Rec (2): both pretty good

Thanks!

You are in… I’m not exactly sure why you made this post though. I just saw 34 act and stopped reading.

@Heyhaykay lol thanks but i wasn’t too sure because i do have some crappy portions of my app like my GPA and the fact that i am out of state. OSU does have an acceptance rate of 55.5% though

Not sure what criteria OSU uses. Our daughter with a 28 ACT and 4.3 average and oodles of extra-curriculars was deferred until Spring. In the meantime, a handful of students she knows with 24 ACT scores and much lower GPA’s were accepted. Shrug. She’s in at 3 other really great schools, but she’s holding her breath and hoping to be a Buckeye.

If she really wants to go to OSU, try one of the satellites and transfer in. It only takes one quarter of really great grades to prove your daughter’s worthy. I graduated in the 80’s and back then, everyone got accepted. They took GEDs. Good luck to her
