My in state daughter was offered merit first and then honors came later. It seems different for everyone. She then got an email from her major saying she received early admission into their program (Medical Laboratory Science).

My daughter was admitted pre-vet in January and applied to honors but hasn’t heard about that or merit! She did get her financial aid package tonight on her portal and has 1 grant listed but no scholarships. Are merit scholarships still coming out? Or should we believe this is what she is getting.

I hope to set up an informal campus tour with a current student of any major for my OOS son (accepted/engineering) and husband. Does anyone in this group have a recommendation/suggestion?

Looking for Tues, April 11 around 4:00 after the 3-4 facilities tour or later. Thank you for any leads!

Spoke to Admissions yesterday, said the merit is still rolling out and will continue through March.

You could email the school of engineering and see if they have student ambassadors that could give you a tour. That’s what we did last year for the business school. Or join an OSU parent group on Facebook and ask if anyone’s has an engineering student and if so, would they be willing to give a tour. I see posts like that often on the FB pages.

My daughter is minoring in CSE at OSU. She’s graduating this spring and almost missed getting her minor by one class. She emailed, called, and went to the department in person several times, practically begging them to let her into a class. It took 2-3 weeks after spring semester started to finally get added. To be honest, her overall experience is that their CSE department is a mess. Short staffed and horrible communication. That said, they tend to give preference to students who are majoring in CSE. She picked up the minor during the height of Covid, when a lot of things were being done remotely. She probably should’ve been assigned an advisor for the minor, but I think it fell through the cracks.

My OOS kiddo visited OSU yesterday for the first time and despite the miserable rainy weather, she really loved the campus and the vibe.

Waiting on info from a few more schools but i think it’s likely a top contender for her!

I know the planner in me will be very glad when she finally makes a decision!

My daughter got an email yesterday saying she was accepted into the Honors program but we haven’t heard anything about merit award. Is it likely that with Honors she will get some type of merit?

Can anyone share a link to register for “Buckeye bound” dates?

Congratulations!!! :tada:

I have only been able to access through the email send to my D23 inviting her to Buckeye Bound

https://campusvisit.osu.edu/admitted-first-years/buckeye-bound/

It looks like 4/7 and 4/14 are left.

We just came back from Buckeye Bound. I thought our session was full but they had a table for in-person registration.

Any incoming freshman for OSU biomedical sciences major. D just accepted and paid acceptance fee Curious if all freshmen get housed in any particular part of campus. Would like to get in touch with other freshmen admitted to biomedical sciences.

Ty! I cannot seem to find an email regarding registration anywhere. Seems like no other way to register.

My son received an email with the subject ‘You are invited to Buckeye Bound’ that came when it first opened. I would think you would have received it soon after your acceptance. I would email admissionsevents@t.osu.edu for help at this point if you didn’t receive the email.

Thank you for sharing!

The link to sign up for Buckeye Bound sessions was sent to the Buckeye email accounts that accepted students were advised to set up in a previous email from OSU. This email came after the acceptance and mentioned how future emails would only be sent to Buckeye emails, not the personal emails that students initially listed.
