Ohio State University or Miami University ?

I'm currently attending Calvin College but Im looking to transfer out. I've been accepted into OSU and waiting to here back from Miami U, but the problem is choosing. OSU being in Columbus has a lot of great opportunities that would be beneficial to me but Miami U being in a small city in Oxford doesn't have much going on. Opportunities as in amping up medical school application, internships and an overall great experience. The problem is that coming from a student body of 4,500 Im not sure how I would feel about OSU which is around 58 thousand students and taking a shuttle to get to class. Im not worried about the reputation of Miami U's atmosphere, but its location is not pleasing although I know it is a really great school to attend.

I have two years left of undergraduate and I want my last years to be a great experience. Coming from Calvin College I didn't do much of anything. I can honestly say I've never gone to a college football nor basketball game, which I love to watch. I honestly dislike being here which is why I am leaving. I'm not a party person, never have been so Im not pressed about what school to go to for that reason. So I guess my question is what school would be the best choice based off of opportunities and a great experience?

Looks like you need Ohio State.

Miami University and Ohio University are academic peers. Miami is sometimes considered a hidden jewel.

Don’t worry about this and this should not a significant factor to turn down OSU. College is about spreading your wings and getting out of your comfort zone. I am sure you will have a great time at Ohio State but if you really dislike big schools Miami University should be obvious choice.

At this point you only have one choice since you haven’t heard from Miami yet. Have you visited OSU? I thought it was one of those rare campuses that didn’t feel as big as it was. If you want the school spirit experience, you have to go to OSU!

Ohio State definitely has the school pride.
