Ohio State University vs Pitt

Both are very similar both in rank and campus environment. I have visited both and like both, but am torn. Which is better for Pre-med? I know osu has a biomedical science major which is highly accredited, but i do not think i can get into that major. So basically if i majored in biology, which would provide better opportunities. OSU is very large, but PItt has one of the highest research budgets in the country, and links to a stronger medical school and hospital system. Also, social life is an important factor. I have visited a couple friends at osu and really liked the party scene there. How does Pitt compare?
Overall, which is the better option, without regards to the monetary factor?

Neither one will give you a leg up in premed. Both will be fine.

The better option is the cheapest option for you. Med school is expensive and cost of undergrad is a huge factor.
Also look at Miami Ohio.
Good colleges for potential premeds include Denison, Hiram, Dickinson, Juniata, and Muhlenberg.

What is your home state?

How much will your parents pay? You can’t ignore the “monetary factor” unless you have lots of money and go wherever you want.

What are your stats?

Med schools don’t care about “biomedical science” major. They don’t care about any particular major.
