Im looking to transfer to ohio State university however im from Denver,Colorado. im going to move to ohio n live there for so i can get state residency however im applying this may to tranfer on summer 2019
-my overall Community College GPA 3.8
-i never volunteer in CC bc of workload
I just want information if my GPA is good enough and does it does it make it harder for me to get accpted for being out of state
Are you sure you will be able to qualify for in state tuition? http://registrar.osu.edu/Residency/guidelines.asp Ohio is a tough state to gain residency for tuition purposes.
I believe you must be an Ohio resident for 12 months before you will receive in-state tuition. I don’t know if you have a parent here in Ohio who you are a dependent of? Based on your post, it sounds like you would apply in may, 2018 for a Summer, 2019 start. That may satisfy the in-state tuition. Not sure what your plan was for the year in between…community college, work, etc. May want to consider the length of time this will take, is worth it and why Ohio State? Is there not a state school that has the program you are looking for and with immediate in-state tuition? Things to think about.
