Hello, can someone tell me the differences. Which one is academically better, which one is socially better? Which one has a better campus/diversity/etc?

Oh and which one is known to send students to medical schools. I don't know what I would like to major in yet, since you can choose any major to go into medical school but I do know that I will be going into medical school.

Ohio State in in most academic aspects lightyears ahead of Ohio University.
OU however has the upper hand when it comes to parties, and that says alot because OSU is big ten school with alot of big parties. Both are very social. OSU being the biggest school in the nation, might either overwhelm you or not, that's up to you. But there will definetly be enough people there to find alot of people who share common interests etc.
OSU wins sports hands down.... it's OSU for heavens sake.

I don't know that much about OU's campus but OSU's campus is a more city campus, you will however encounter many 'green' places and it's an amazingly big campus with many styles of buildings and i believe the overal view of the campus is pretty positive.
Ohio state is pretty diverse ... OU isn't really from my knowledge.

I don't go to any of these schools so take this with a grain of salt but i hope this helps.

i saw your second post to late haha

I have heard good things about the OSU medical center ...

I think Groenveld is simply passing on stereotypes of OU, which is unfortunate. We looked at it very closely for my son for engineering and, although he did not end up going there, we have a very positive opinion of it.

For one thing the OU campus is absolutely beautiful. It is also a MUCH smaller school than OSU. It feels much more personal than a school the size of OSU. They were very organized and communicative throughout the admissions process, and I truly believe that if you stand out at all at OU you will get a great educational experience there. I also think you will have smaller classes there and many fewer TAs.

The town of Athens OH is strictly a college town. I thought it looked like a lot of fun. Everybody - students, profs, and staff pretty much ALL live in that town, so you are really in a community there. The town was cute and student apartments did not look like slums (like in many college areas).

They have a nationally reknown Honors Tutorial College. If you are in that program, or if you qualify for any of the large scholarships they give out, you are eligible to live in their honors housing, which is very nice. (If you are out of state with high SAT scores it is truly a windfall of scholarships.

Do not rule out OU based on rumors. Investigate it for yourself. Many kids visit there and feel right at home immediately.
