I keep hearing how beautiful these schools are. Can someone who's been to all three compare and contrast the appearance of their campuses (architecture, layout, compactness, landscaping, other physical features)?

I have been to all three. Personally, I think Denison’s campus is one of the most gorgeous I’ve ever seen. It’s set atop a hilll so it’s surrounded by clusters of trees (and the many deer that follow). During autumn, the colors are amazing. During winter, the ice sparkles on the trees. And spring brings a colorful spray of wildflowers and blossoms. There are wide patches of grass with tall, thick trees around campus. The town below, Granville, is made to look like a New England town, and is incredibly quaint.

Ohio University also is quite a sight, although as I recall on much flatter ground. However, I seem to remember the architecture is much more congruous than Denison’s, as Denison’s ranges from brick buildings to modern architecture right next to each other. Ohio U did not seem so confined as Denison either and more spaciously laid out.

I went to Miami of Ohio for a scrimmage, so I did not see a whole lot of the university. It seemed like a mixture of Denison and Ohio U though: much more flat than Denison, but without the towering buildings of Ohio University. This one seemed to blend into its edges a bit more than the other two, if that makes sense (basically I remember the town roads being very close to campus, as opposed to offset or winding towards it like the other two).

You’ll want to take others’ opinions on these too but this is what I can remember about these universities.

^ I think I generally agree with this summary.
