<p>Hey everyone,</p>

<p>I am currently considering enrolling at OU Lancaster to partake in the schools engineering technology program. My reason for attending said program would be to enhance mymechanical ability and begin a career as an engineering tech or an industrial mechanic( millwright ). I would like to know if anyone has any thoughts or personal experiences with this program and/or campus. Any and all info will be greatly appreciated!</p>

<p>P.S. I do know that the program is NOT ABET accredited, and I do not think that it matters much since I have no desire to become an engineer.</p>

<p>I’d make sure ABET accreditation doesn’t matter before making that assumption.</p>

<p>I have done a small amount of research regarding engineering tech credentials and have found individuals claiming that ABET accreditation is necessary for any engineering program, and I have also heard and read that for job positions below the level of PE, ABET accreditation does not matter. If anyone with experience as an engineer or engineering tech has any information regarding this subject, Iplease let me know.</p>
