OK i give up, any offer?

Hey guys, i was intended to apply good universities. But due to my bad English, i decided not to apply for them. Even though my achievements and math scores of SAT 1 and SAT 2 are good, my scores on CR and IBT's (stupid IBT tricky questions) are so low. Also my intention to get a financial would reduce my chance.

Moreover, some people said to me "There isn't any serious distinction between undergraduate schools", then i want to apply other universities which has good Computer Science program and offers plenty of Financial aid.

exactly how low are your scores..??..

Stats and EC’s, please. No one here can help you out without those two.

Thank you guys. I am just predicting my scores. I took it on DEC 01.

I am Mongolian

Test scores:

SAT I 450CR 780 M 450 W (prediction)
SAT II 770 IC, 800 IIC, 660 Physics (took on May)
Tomorrow i will take my IBT test. According to the practice tests, maybe it would be more about 70 points(I really can do better, but i can’t choose right answer on the test)

Awards:
I have medal from IOI2006 and National Informatics Olympiad.
Several medals from mathematics and some other regional informatics olympiad.
USACO(USA computing Olympiad) Gold Division
National Mathematics Olympiad qualifier
Ranked in Top 1000 in Peking university’s ACM online judge

Activities

Mongolian science club “Tesseract” 's honorable member
Guitar training

Teacher Recommendation

I can get recommendations from University of California’s (San Diego) Professor (he knows me a lot)

I found out maybe “Tennessee inst tech” would be appropriate for me.

Plz guys, i need to apply before Jan 1st

Is this satire? You are either too hard on yourself or too insecure about your stuff. Like most other CCers. Not that I’m not guilty of making a fuss out of my stats and ecs, I think they shouldn’t stop you from applying to your dream schools. To paraphrase Oprah, the only unsuccessful people are those who don’t try.

Apply to schools where you feel you stand a chance. That’s all you can do.

I applied early at Yale with 510 on CR and 600 on Writing. You shouldn’t give up so easily. Your international award is HUGE and could get you into top schools. I assume you have an year ahead since you haven’t decided if you apply or not by this point. In that case, you have plenty of time to improve your SAT scores (PM me if you need some materials).

The Toefl test is really easy and since you seem to manage English on this forum, you shouldn’t have major problems. Try taking as many practice tests as you can just to get familiar with the type of subjects.

Guys, i really appreciate your courages. But I’ve been preparing for IBT and SAT since 2006.09. I think i am getting older now, almost 20. Maybe u think, “You prepared for a long time, why didn’t u get reasonable score?”, but my English was almost zero at that time. I would say, i couldn’t wait 1 year again
