Ok, I'm a little confused

The bussiness program at Cornell is housed in CALS, So if I wanted to get into the AEM program would I apply directly to AEM or do I just apply to CALS and major in AEM? I ask this because I am considering applying ED and I would like to be a bussiness major. The problem is that every single one of my EC's is health related (I.E. First aid squad, certified EMT, 100+ at hospital, Internship at the Coriell Institute for Medical Research, Science League and Math League) Those extra curriculars are screaming premed and would definetly look a bit odd if I was applying to a bussiness program. Do you think it would be better to apply the Human Ecology school and then transfer into AEM, or should I apply to CALS/AEM directly? (If it turns out that AEM is just a major it would definetly be more apropriate to apply to CALS)

Ok, It appears that you apply directly to AEM given the fact that they only admit around 100 students

Your essay should be based primarily on AEM, not on CALS. (However, feel free to include information on electives you might wish to take at CALS as well.)

Also, AEM admits around 200 I think (overall size of ~800). Probably a little less for transfers and stuff through the years, but you get the idea.

Wait, so you can’t apply to CALS as an undecided major, then when you get there do AEM?

it’s “business” - not “bussiness”

you apply to CALS, but they require all applicants to apply with a major (just as HumEc, Arch, ILR) - so then you apply to AEM as your major.

roneald is right about the essay

there’s generally an incoming class of ~90-100 freshmen. idk what their attrition rate is, but that’s the avg number of freshmen - take it as you want.

I think you can only apply to CAS undecided.
If you want to get into AEM, you’ll have to specify that on your application.

Sorry about the size of the incoming class, my mistake*.

You can apply to engineering undecided as well.
