So I made this optional video for the Tufts Supplement, and it took SO long to render and it literally finished uploading at 11:59PM and the link to the video was given at 12:00 and like 4 seconds. I submitted the Tufts Supplement at midnight and literally 7 seconds. So I missed the deadline by 7 seconds. On the common app it says my supplement was submitted on the 4th and the deadline is the 3rd. If everything else, common app, payment, etc was submitted like a week ago, and just the supplement was late by literally 7 seconds, will they not take my application?

Ohh I am sorry that stinks! The same thing happened to me with CMU - I went to upload the supplement and the page kept freezing :(…

Definitely call admissions tomorrow and explain your situation. However, just for the future, don’t let an entire application hinge on an optional criterium.

Good luck though!!

Will they still accept my application?

It is certainly hard to say…the only thing you really can do is call ASAP (meaning TOMORROW!), explain your situation, cross your fingers and hope for the best.

Ahh Tufts is one of my top schools!!! Did CMU accept yours?

On the admissions blog,
“The deadline is January 3rd. So long as it is January third SOMEWHERE in the world, you’re good. (I recommend American Samoa as your place of deadline definition)” So you are fine, no worries. Good luck Tufts is one of my top schools as well.

Apparently, if the Common App still accepted your supplement then the college will still receive it. If you are late then the Common App would have told you so.
