yes. I was rejected a couple of days ago. decided to give a shot and called USC . and everybody knows the rest of the story.........SO... Let's roll the dices and see... Keep trying to log in.....

im really confused...it seems as though zeb is making everything up...zeb did you really recieve a rejection or are you just picking stories out of a hat and putting them on here for personal satisfaction??

D tried logging on and it worked. Her acceptance arrived a week later. We're on the East Coast so maybe it had been processed by the time she logged on. Our older kids applied to schools that notified you online of decisions, so it seemed natural to us for her to try out the link. But later we read about last year's NYU problems. From what we skimmed through about the NYU situation though, it sort of sounded like kids were trying, successfully, to decipher a formula for logging on, pretty much hacking in by guessing at their accepted student log-in names? Whereas with the USC link, it was just your regular ID info that you've been using to check things online all along since applying. Seems if USC was really upset at the thought of someone trying out their log-on info they would have a disclaimer beside the link, warning you to "NOT attempt logging on through this link unless you have received an acceptance letter" Or they wouldn't post the link on the main admissions page - putting it on a private page instead, with a link that's only in your acceptance letter or something? I don't know. Just guessing at all of this. But it's difficult to imagine anyone whose future is about to be shaped by whatever decisions are made by the schools to which they've applied not acting on their natural curiosity to click on that link. If it's put there as a test of some sort, and USC actually monitors who clicks and who doesn't - wow - those who don't click should be made saints or something! : ) My heart goes out to all of you who haven't received letters yet, hang in there. I guess it's now only a couple of weeks until you know something. Best of luck!
