Ok. Ivy League Opinions

Ok, this is going to go in all the ivy league colleges’ discussion boards. In your opinion, which do you think (as objectively as possible) is the best Ivy? Which is the worst? And why?

This will be interesting.

This has been discussed on these boards many times over the years.
Check the archives on the old board. You may want to be more specific in your meaning of "the best".
Best Endowment
Best Undergraduation Education
Best Feeder School
The list goes on..........

Dont get smart with me man. Just pick - which one rocks the most, and which rocks the least. Simple

for some reason, i've grown to dislike UPenn a whole lot

i think it's cause everyone i've ever known who got into has been SUCH an as$ wipe (except my friend kenny, he's a jerk but in a totally lovable way lol)

so yeah. upenn

...and the best is brown...duh! lol

Sparticus800 from the Cornell board says:

"Brown is the worst because its named after the color of poop..."

Very intelligent. Those crazy Cornellians...

ok dude you used to be funny, now you're just lame...

brown is the most laid back of all ivy leagues.

if i get into all my ivy leagues, i'd take brown over all of them.

Brown is THE ONLY ivy league I applied to, and would never ever consider any other (even if my scores were up to par, which they aren't, but that doesn't matter because Brown rocks!)

Every Ivy League school is awesome. Personally, I love Brown the best, but that doesn't change the fact that all 8 schools are wonderful in their own right! End of debate. :)

I love Brown the most, but I'd say that all considered, Yale is probably the best.

Anyways, it depends what sort of person you are. My friend thinks Cornell is the holiest school ever, I couldn't stand it.

There is no such thing as overall best school. There is a best school for each person, for many people it's Brown, for many it's Cornell, the list goes on.

Monkeyman, you were shot down on some of the other ivy boards, and in general people, pick schools which are best FOR YOU

Btw, Yale has a terrible classics dept (my friend from HS class of '04 was told by his yale interviewer that if he really wanted to study classics, he should not attend Yale) and compared to other ivies, some of their sciences are a little subpar.

I agree with the best for you thing. For me, I never even considered Harvard. Not for undergrad anyway. I dismissed Cornell because it was too close to home and Princeton because it was in NJ (Sorry all you from Jersey). I had barely heard of UPENN and I still only associate it with a good a capella group, and I hated Dartmouth upon visiting. I never really looked into Yale, but from the people who went there from my school, I got a weird feeling. They do have an awesome Slavic Women's choir though. Brown was the only ivy that grabbed my attention enough to make me visit/apply. I initially was set on going to a small LAC.

Oh, man. I didn't know that.

I like Yale a lot, and I want to be a classics major.

Brown, of course... :D

you have a serious question and i have a serious answer

I only applied to Yale and Brown (in at Brown, not in at Yale), so those are the best for me.
