Ok, so any advice?

I took the SAT in January and got:

790 Math
800 Writing
670 Critical Reading

M + R: 1460
Total: 2260

So, I'm pretty set on retaking it, and I was thinking October.

My question is, Should I take it again?

If so, does October sound good for a lot of these programs?

i had.

2250T
1460 m+cr

790 writing
700 math (>_>)
760 CR

2c 800, chem 800, bio 770.

got interviews at albany med and HPME. ur fine on the SAT part, work on the rest

so you applied for 08?

…but your SAT parts were all above 700. doesn’t it look bad that my CR is below 700?

yes i applied 08. i think u can be ok with a 670 CR. my worst thing was 700 SATI math . the northwetsern avg is like 780 or something.

ok, thanks for your advice.

Anybody else have an opinion?

come on, anybody.
what would you do?

i know you guys are just dying to say something

ur sats look fine… stop worrying =D

pretty much as long as you score above around 2200 everybody looks the same from the test score viewpoint

and you are completely sure?
A LOT of people have been telling me the 670 is too low, despite the combined

670 across the board (math, writing, reading) might be low, but 670, when your combined is 1460/2260 is competitive.

At this point, your SAT score is fine, work on other things to boost your app. High SAT score and no other stuff = reject.

so just one last time:
even if I know I can get around a 720, I shouldn’t take it again?

also, which programs superscore?

i got a 630 cr and have an interview to hpme

i dont think its worth it…
stressing out over 30 points is to much.
all the time you spend worrying could be spent doing a more fun (and rewarding) EC or just time spent doing something enjoyable (and stress-free).

thats just my opinion.
but then again…i only a 2020 on my SAT, so who am i kidding lol

and i think most respectable schools (and almost all LAC’s) superscore

^lac ?

liberal arts college :)

Liberal Arts College. Got it.

What isn’t a liberal arts college?

hah, i didn’t see your post, but ok lol

like universities (UC’s, and state schools) and such…

OR you could be super cool and take the ACT where the subscores don’t matter as much because schools can’t determine as much as they can from the SAT :).
