Ok... SO does this mean my TAG was accepted???!!!

<p>Dear Alkalinium,</p>

<p>Thank you for your interest in UC Irvine. You have successfully submitted your online TAG form to UC
Irvine for fall 2014 admission. We now look forward to receiving your University of California
transfer application during the November 1 - 30 application period. Apply at
Apply</a> online | UC Admissions. When applying for admission, please
indicate your TAG submission on the UC transfer application and remember that your transfer
admission guarantee is only applicable for the primary major you indicated on your TAG form.</p>

<p>UC Irvine does not provide early admission evaluation or early admission decisions as part of its
TAG program. Once you apply to UC Irvine for transfer admission, we will review your TAG and notify
you of your transfer admission status by the end of April. It is important to remember that in
order to maintain your TAG eligibility, you must meet the following conditions: </p>

<pre><code> • Apply for transfer admission to UC Irvine during the November 1 – 30 application period for
fall 2014 (remember to check the “UC Irvine TAG” box on the UC application);

• Complete the second UC-transferable English course with a grade of C or better by the end
of spring 2014;

• Complete 60 semester/90 quarter UC-transferable units by the end of spring 2014;

• Complete all required coursework with the minimum GPA, including course prerequisites, for
your chosen major by the end of spring 2014 (view major preparation requirements at
www.admissions.uci.edu/resources/transfer_selection.html);

• Maintain an overall minimum 3.4 GPA in all UC-transferable course work by the end of fall
2013 and maintain a minimum overall 3.4 GPA through the end of spring 2014;

• Complete the Academic Update Request in January 2014 where you will record and submit
all fall term grades and any spring term course changes;

• Complete all other minimum UC transfer admission requirements.
</code></pre>

<p>Students who do not meet UC Irvine’s TAG criteria may still be competitive for admission to UC
Irvine as a general transfer applicant. If, for any reason, you are unable to meet the conditions of
the TAG, an offer of admission will depend on your completion of transfer admission requirements and
selectivity in the applicant pool. </p>

<p>Thank you for submitting your TAG form. UC Irvine has much to offer you, and we look forward to your
becoming a part of our vibrant campus community.</p>

<p>Anybody know anything?</p>

<p>You are not in yet,
It literally say that they dont do early admission,between nov1to15
Wait till march or april</p>

<p>Quoting from what you already posted

</p>

<p>It is just a confirmation that you have submitted and they have received your TAG application. UCI does not give early admission decisions for TAG applicants so you will have to wait until April along with all the other applicants. HOWEVER, if you fulfill ALL of the TAG requirements and keep your GPA at the minimum required, you are guaranteed admission. Just make sure you turn in your application for admission this month, as that is one of the TAG requirements.</p>

<p>

Sadly, the OP chose not to take physics. A yearlong sequence is required for UCI engineering, all majors. Unless the OP takes 2 physics classes in the spring he/she will be rejected.</p>

<p>(crap how do you quote)</p>

<p>@mikemac</p>

<p>Are you 100% sure about that? They wont give me extra semesters/quarters to make it up?</p>

<p>No, I’m not 100% sure because I’m not a counselor so I can’t guarantee that when they say “required” they really mean it. But the UCI website does say required; you should check for yourself. And like I wrote in the other thread, if we exchanged places I’d be on the phone tomorrow to the UCs you are considering.</p>

<p>The list of options - quotes, bold, italics, etc - is at [College</a> Confidential - BB Code List](<a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/misc.php?do=bbcode]College”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/misc.php?do=bbcode)</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>Ok thanks mikemac. Ill let you guys know what happens after</p>

<p>They might let you in through regular admission.</p>

<p>Why do you say that HopingToXfer?</p>

<p>Alkalinium, the email you got was just a confirmation they received your TAG. It is pretty much stapled to your UC application that you send in and will be considered when they look over your application. What TAG means is, if you satisfy ALL the requirements they state, you are theoretically guaranteed in. IF, by chance, you do not fulfill the TAG requirements, they will push you down to regular admissions (paired against all normal transfers, high school transfers, and whatnot) where you will definitely have a lower chance of getting in. I cannot stress how much you need to fulfill EVERY requirement the TAG policy states, I had everything completely done but did not see the “must have good standing at all UCs” and my TAG was void instantly (I did bad at UCSC, transferred back to local CC and applied for UCI). Best wishes and good luck!</p>

<p>I got that one too lol</p>

<p>@Eltwong how many units do you have?</p>
