Hello

So now I'm going into my spring semester of freshman year and I'm not sure if I have enrolled in too demanding of a schedule.

Courses I have added:

Calc 2 ;; 4 credits
Chem 2 (with lab) ;; 4 credits
Cell and molecular bio (with lab) ;; 4 credits
Into to bio (with lab) ;; 4 credits
Eng Communications ;; 1 credit

I'm also taking an emt course (as I'm on the ambulance squad) which is 3 nights a week from 7 to 10 pm... add in the hall council participation, BMES junior e-board participation, ballroom team... and a girlfriend.

Basically I think I will be overwhelmed, but I'm not sure what to do because pre-med requirements are so strict and barely fit in with the biomedical engineering curriculum. I was told halfway through this semester that I needed intro to bio (originally all BMES students were told that we SHOULDNT take it because we take cell and molec bio instead), so I needed to fit that in somehow.

With 3 lab courses, the hours each day seem ridiculous and I don't know how I will have time to study.

This last semester I managed a 3.67~ gpa taking a statics course (class av of 75%), calc 1 course, chem 1 course w/ lab (class test av 65%), and a psych course so I'm fairly pleased, is this a good start?

Already I know that I have to take 2 english classes over sophomore year summer at a home university to lighten my load (and to keep core science classes at my main university)... my advisor told me it wouldn't look good to take bio anywhere but my main university.

Is it worth taking intro to bio next semester when it could lower my overall gpa, or delaying it to later years? I'm not sure if it would look bad having a mere 13 credit hours instead of 17 (maybe perceiving me as being lazy?).

Fall of next semester is going to be interesting taking diffeq, physics 1, and organic chem 1 w/ lab, so I'm not sure if it would be any better taking it then than now.

Thanks for any tips
