The writing section of the application has an option in part C to add additional information about yourself/your circumstances. I have added an essay in this section which is very similar to the essay I entered in prompt 1 of the Honors Program application. Does the same admissions officer review both the GW application essays and the Honors Program essays? Are the essays in these two sections reviewed at the same time or are the Honors Program essays reviewed only after you have been accepted to UW?
This is just my opinion… I’d make the effort to write a new original essay for one of the sections that you mention above. The UW doesn’t ask for teacher recommendations or for your transcript, so your carefully written application is all they’ll have to learn about you and what you can bring to the university. There will be a large number of qualified applicants for admission and for the honors program. The readers will notice if you cut corners and repeat essay topics.
