<p>My son's workstudy amount has always been split, allocating half the amount to each semester. Is there a set rule that you must stay within those limits per term or can you "borrow" from the next allocation? For instance, my son worked both semesters in 2010 and as an RA over the summer (June '10). Smart kid but clueless when it comes to how he was paid - guess he didn't care whether the funds came from his spring '10 workstudy or his fall '10 workstudy or if it even mattered. Now he's filling out med school FA forms and they are asking more detailed questions and it seems to matter. All he knows is he was paid - all money came from the college.</p>
