It seems like most people have gotten in. Just post here if you are, as of February 7th, waiting on an admissions decision.

I applied December 1st, in-state, non-ranking school, 2160 SAT (1440 CR+M), 4.01 W GPA, 800 SAT II Spanish w/ Listening, leadership (student council president, editor-in-chief of 2 newspapers, committee chair of clubs etc) community service (300+ hours) and pretty decent essays. Waiting on general admissions (crossing my fingers) and McCombs (long shot at this point?)

still waiting…
international though! and my application status just changed (Today) to "we are now reviewing your application! Don’t know how long that will take.

Applied December 1st. In state, top 14%, 2250 SAT, 2000+ volunteer hours, 4 years of UIL, part time job during junior year, expanded resume but no rec letters. I applied to Natural Sciences and Geosciences.

Varsity Tennis, 100+ Volunteer Hours, other small extracurriculars. I applied the very end of October.

I knew I wouldn’t even be close to their best non auto admit candidate because truthfully, my ec are pretty lacking as well as my gpa/scores but I’m still hopeful and hanging in there. Hopefully I won’t have to be embarrassed about my username…awkward.

Does it make me obsessive that I literally check UT direct every single day?

In state and applied 1 week before the deadline. Apparently only a “small” portion of decisions have gone out according to the UT Austin counselor I spoke with.

Still waiting here as well, though I’m OOS. Applied in August and have been obsessively checking since December 3. I’m in top 2% of graduating class, 34 ACT, and 3.85 UW/4.39 W GPA, IB student, volunteered probably somewhere between 400 and 500 hours since freshman year, NMF, in all the honor societies, and even president of Mu Alpha Theta (helpful since I’m applying as a math major). Sadly, applying early just meant I have to wait longer to hear. Hopefully we’ll all be hearing one way or another any day now such that we can stop stressing and/or worrying! Good luck to us all(:

I’ve already been accepted to Ohio State (only about a month after I applied in December), with a $3,000 scholarship (per year with steady GPA), but I REALLY want to go to UT.

I applied October 10th, haven’t heard anything. I’ve checked my status page literally everyday since I applied, and the entire time it said “We are reviewing your application”. I’m out of state. I just wish they would tell me either way so I could stop getting my hopes up and make other arrangements :

I’m also out of state, submitted my app in SEPTEMBER and still haven’t heard back. Some of my friends at my school already got in but they were all for McCombs, so I guess they go by major (I applied to computer science). The wait is killing me…
