OK, who's still waiting on admissions?

Still waiting… when did they find out last year? The 17th?

nothing as of 2/13. OOS, engineering, ACT 32

Daughter is OOS applied on Nov 30 and got notified TODAY that she was ACCEPTED into College of Natural Sciences- Computer Science entry-level. That was the LONGEST wait of all of our lives. So excited!
She did apply for Turing Scholars but not sure if that has not been awarded yet or if she did not receive entry. I think she plans to call admissions tomorrow with her growing list of questions.

@gritsmom Congrats to your daughter! I’m OOS and applied to Computer Science entry level but still haven’t heard back! I’m hoping I’ll hear within the next week…

Thanks. Good luck to you. The wait is AWFUL! Hope you get your answer soon.

How do you already know you didn’t get into McCombs if you have not been accepted?

@gritsmom- did your daughter receive her notification as an email or did she have to check her UT Application? just curious

So what are the various possible outcomes? I know one can be accepted or rejected. However, what about deferred, CAPed etc? Are these the only two other possible outcomes or are there others?

Son is still waiting application status of UT. He’s an in-state student who applied to the engineering school. I guess we’ll just wait it out as well – seems like the elephant gestastional period.

Daughter is also still waiting. She is OOS and applied to engineering school back in Oct. This wait is unbearable!

@dallaskid
I emailed the admissions office in Dallas and he told me that I did not get into McCombs but that my application was being reviewed for the Undergraduate Studies college. I got accepted to UT, just not a college yet.

@sandysansan
do you mind me asking what your gpa/standardized test scores are? and if you’re out-of-state?

GPA is 3.8 weighted I’m in the top 4% of my class. SAT scores were low, around 1670. I got auto admitted though, back in November. In state.

has anybody else sort of just… given up?

seriously, someone please send me a PM if admissions are released on a mass scale (ill get an email notification from it)

heard nothing as of 2/19. OOS engineering act 32.

johnnyzxz totally. all this time waiting I have been really looking into the other schools that have already accepted me and furthermore have accepted me into their business program. And honestly, I wouldn’t be upset if I woke up tomorrow and UT rejected me…I’ve just lost interest. It was my dream school for a couple of years now but it’s starting to seem harder and harder to see myself there. Maybe they wanted to weed out people this way. Well it worked.

Has anyone heard from admission about the probable date of decisions? I am starting to lose hope :-)

My daughter is OOS and still waiting too. She has been accepted to every other school she has applied to, some with nice scholarship offers. Her first choice really is UT. When she called the admissions office they said that their goal is to have all admission decisions out by March 1 and there is no blanket or mass acceptance date set prior to that.

International from India.Applied in Oct. 2012. Still waiting.

uknow, ut’s gonna be hated so much if I get rejected or cap’ed after all this wait. Let’s wish for this coming friday
