Okay, be brutally honest.

So, I'm a senior in high school, and I really want to go to Yale, Stanford, or Princeton. I know it's a long shot no matter how good my grades are, but I would really appreciate some feedback as to what you guys think my chances of getting in to one of these schools are.

-I have a 3.8 unweighted GPA (4.4 weighted)
-I am a member of the debate team (11th and 12th grade)
-I am president of the environmental club (member since 10th, prez for 11th and 12th).
-I am in the National Honor Society (20 hours of community service each year)
-I am a member of the Spanish Honor Society
-Took the SAT twice, and the highest combined scores total 2140 (Math: 660, Reading:720, Writing:760)
-SAT 2 for Chemistry: 670
-SAT 2 for Literature: 660
-SAT 2 for Math Level 2: pending
-I want to major in Architecture/Environmental Design
-My admittance essays and answers to the supplements are creative and funny
-I was on the Flag team for one year (10th grade) then stopped doing it because it hurt my grades
-AP Human Geography:5
-AP Environmental Science: 5
-AP English Language:4
-AP Art History: 4
-AP Chemistry: 1 (they don't offer AP chem at my school, and I took it the year I was on flag team, when I barely had enough time to study on my own.)
-I'm taking AP Physics B, AP Calc AB, AP English Literature, AP Spanish Language, and Economics my senior year

So, can you give me any feedback?

Class rank?

All seem out of reach / significant reaches.

As I always say…
Welcome to CC! Where the extraordinary are ordinary, the overachieving come standard, and incredulously amazing profiles are the norm. Yes, I’m exaggerating, but only by a little, whether that’s a good thing or not. So then…
Your test scores already throw you in the reach to high reach category for Yale, Stanford, and Princeton, pretty much all of HYPSM and then some. Your UW GPA is good, but that really depends on your rank above all, or an estimation of your rank. Based off what you provide, it seems rather unlikely.

With these SAT scores, these schools are a high reach for you. Plus, you don’t provide a class rank, which makes it hard to determine.

I’m number 29 out of 877. It puts me in the top 4%.
Also, I’m applying to Yale early action

People with 4.0s, 2400s, and outstanding ECs have been rejected by HYP.

Your AP record isn’t all that impressive… geography and environmental science aren’t exactly the hardest subjects.
Standardized scores below average.
ECs are okay… but not super terrific.

Ethnicity/Geographical Residence?

Get a back up, because I’d say your chances are close to zero.

I am a caucasion female living in California.

What are my chances at Cornell or Duke?
My backups are Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and UCSD

You’re probably going to be wasting your chances on Yale SCEA. It’s breakneck competitive and typically only works for the best of the best. It certainly does not increase your chances of admission. Now, your class rank isn’t bad, per say, but does leave something to be desired. Unless your essays really rock the admissions officers, I don’t see it happening. That being said, if you ED to Cornell or Duke, I’d imagine you’d have decent chances at both. Once again, being in California will not help you, thanks the the huge amount of applicants from said state, but in the end, it’s your choice. If you feel comfortable with it, do it. Don’t let anyone stand in your way.
