Okay composite but bad reading score

Hey guys,

I have just been calculating my composite score and am arriving at the 32/33 range. However, I know that there is no way I could score above a 30 for reading because I ran out of time for nearly half of the questions for the last passage and I randomly chosen answers for them.

Would an ok composite score but a bad reading score hurt my chances of admissions?

PS, how could I better manage my time for the reading section? If I do have an extra 5-8 minutes I would usually get 35/36 for the reading section. The only reason I’m scoring poorly is because I’m running out of time…

I cant say it wont hurt admissions, but properly not too much. They mostly only look at the composite score + writing(if required)

I would disagree with the last poster, as I think colleges care much more about the individual scores than the composite. Some school ONLY care about Reading and Math. But I wouldn’t worry so much before you even got your score, and you can always retake.
