Meal plans are so confusing. The Gold Plus thing, that can basically be used anywhere? So should I get the Frequent Diner 150 + Gold Plus 100 plan instead of just Prime Line 180?

The Frequent Diner 150 part means you get 150 meals for the whole quarter. The Gold Plus 100 means that you get $100 spending money for places like the CoHo, Silo, etc. so you can buy food from Taco Bell, Carls Jr, Crepeville, or the MU. If you use your ID to pay for food at the Silo, you get a discount.

get gold plus $150. trust me.

really? so it's more beneficial to do that then to get a credit card?

i see. so the meal plan number is the number of meals you get, but the gold plus number is the number of extra dollars you have to spend at places like Silo. I'm glad they make that so vague.

mr18359, what meal plan should I get gold plus $150 with? The biggest one?

for fall quarter i would suggest doing the 150 meals plus $150 because you will probably eat at the dining commons quite a bit but i dont know anyone who used all 150 or 180. After that you should reduce the number of your meals each quarter because you will come to loathe the DC. However if you decided to keep a lot of meals, whatever meals you do not use turns into plus money the next year. You get $2 for every swipe.
