okay, i have a gpa of 3.31 and my major is anthropology.

what are my chances at the following schools...

UCI

UCSB

UCLA

UCSC

oh, and i’ve worked since i started school and i just started volunteering at a sexual assault center. however, i have about 7 Ws on my transcript and a bad semester where i got an academic renewal.

i’m not sure how to work in the explanation of my bad semester yet.

Hi Ziggy, I’m not very good at chancing people, but have a look at this site.

[UCLA Undergrad Admissions: Profile of Admitted Transfer Students by Major, Fall 2006](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/Adm_tr/Tr_Prof06_mjr.htm)

This is the statistics of those who applied and for those who got into UCLA.

If you look at anthropology, the average GPA of the admits are 3.48 (B.A) and 3.44 (B.S).

http://students.berkeley.edu/files/Admissions/Transfer_06.pdf</a></p>

And if you scroll down here on the Berkley site, it tells you the percent of admits for each college, however there are no gpa statistics.

In regards to the other universities, I’m not so sure.

So to answer your question, you do have a shot at UCLA, but keep in my mind, your gpa is below the average compared to the students admitted for this program in 2006. However, don’t fret, this is the AVERAGE, thus there must have been a couple who got admitted with a GPA even under 3.

Hope this helped. Best of luck!

Actually since, UCI, UCSB and UCSC are much easier to get into, I’m pretty sure you have a great chance to get into these unis. That really depends if you’re an out of state student or not, and if you come from a cali cc. Also if you’re in tag, I think you’re guaranteed to get into UCI, UCSB or UCSC.
