"Stanford takes around 35%-45% of Californians"...all of the Asians there justify that, 1/4 of the school is Asian and UCBerkeley is 44% Asian, they make up an extremely competitive portion of the applicant pool in California schools.

Them taking a significant number of Californians has nothing to do with the asian population nor did I say that the act of taking such an amount of Californians required justification. It appears as if you make the supposition that the majority of accepted Californians are Asian. Race does not play a single role in it whatsoever.

Princeton.

I'm not sure about business, though.

Duke is NOT liberal....

Duke is no Brown; however, Duke is often criticized as being a bastion of liberalism

West Point

Hmm, I'm not sure how many homosexuals you would find at West Point... (although I bet that wasn't meant to be a literal criterion).

I realize you said no LAC's but Oberlin has dorms that are positively Hogwartiian.Don't know the single availabilty for freshman.Very gay friendly.I'd look into it if i were you.

Columbia, while it is in the city, has green lawns; it's architecture is classical instead of gothic, but it's students are generally liberal, and there are whole dorms with single rooms for freshman. John Jay, my dorm next year, is all singles reserved for freshmen.

Hogwartsy:
Oxbridge, Princeton, Yale (they have this dinner there that is similar to the Hogwarts ones)

Liberal:
Definitely Brown, Stanford has a pretty diverse community but also a lot of athletes

Mmm, @takeapicture

You surely dug up an ancient thread!!

Sure did :)

I didn’t read the dates then I posted.
Then I saw the dates of course.

Lehigh University is beautifulll and almost all the buildings look like castles =].
