Okay, so what should I do?

Alright, I have officially crapped my pants long enough but I have no idea what to do.

I hate collegeboard. I really do. Lieing to me about their score choice policy was NOT a cool move. But I'm stuck now so I have to move on.

Basically, I got a 1480 out of 2400 first time I took the SAT's. I took them a second time and got a 1890 out of 2400. I also took one sub test, us history, and bombed it (540). Main reason why was I had not even finished the course yet; i dont know why I took it honestly.

Anyways, I know ILR does not require subject tests and thus I really want to apply there because then I could ace my ACT and send just that in. However, someone just said that ILR is more for in state people than out of state. I am out of state. So I am kinda screwed on both fronts here.

Which is better? If I retake my SATs later this year and score really high, as well as take the SAT Subj. Tests, in addition to the ACT, and send all that in to CAS; or if I take the ACT and send just that in to ILR as an out of state student? I dont know which would be better at this point.

If you think you can do really well on the ACT, then I would go with that.

Not true at all. At all. A lot of ILR’s best students are from out of state.

Really? That’s awesome then. Cause I was hoping for iLR anyways. It seems like a dream to me, I was just afraid about that little statement. My moms calling Cornell tommorow just in case, but you subsided a lot of my worry.

Looks like no subject tests for me!

Why is your mom calling? YOU should be calling…

How did CB “lie” to you?

I live on the west coast so by the time I get home from school Cornells office is closed for phone calls. And I can’t call CU during school because we arn’t allowed to have cell phones.

^^what are you doing at 5:30 am? or 6:00 am pacific time?

I’m concerned you are focusing on Cornell only - what about requirements for other schools? It is alot of testing but I’d say retake the SAT, that’s really the only way to take the focus off of your past scores. Take the subject tests (many schools require them -Cornell peer schools sure do). And, give the ACT a try, a good score can help you and a poor score can not be sent. Curious about your confidence in acing the ACT, have you taken practice tests (make sure you time them)? I know this is alot of testing but if you do it you won’t later be asking yourself why didn’t I just take the… test.
Good luck.
