Well I know I might sound a little paranoid, but I'm wondering if it is okay to get a low B in a class. Right now I'm taking Honors Trigonometry/Precalculus and just failed a test, and got a 71% on the previous one. My grade for the first half of the semester was a 95, which is really good according to my standards. Now, I have a 90, but that is going to drop drastically after failing this test. My other grades are really good though. I have a 96 in AP World History, 100 in Sociology, and 99 in Honors German III. So this is really going to drag down my GPA. I am concerned that this will drop my overall GPA (3.86) and it might hurt my chances for applying to colleges. I am aiming for WVU or Pitt. Besides my grades, I am in German and Art Honors society, have a part time job, do after school and in school tutoring, did track and field in 10th grade and am planning to this year in 11th grade, and am pending acceptance to do volunteer work at the hospital. I am just wondering how badly this will hurt my GPA and chances of getting into a college. Thank you!

Getting a B in math will not make either WVU or Pitt out of reach for you.

Try really hard not to get a C in math. And for heaven’s sake, do not get a D or an F in math!
