<p>to qualify you have to have a 30 ACT and above a 3.8 GPA</p>
<p>We got the letter - did not receive Old Gold. My son was encouraged by Admissions to apply even though his GPA didn’t meet the threshold (it’s 3.6). His ACT is 31. I don’t believe his essays were particularly compelling, which we were told is really the thing they’re after.</p>
