1590 on old SAT....wow

to my knowledge, no you cant join old scores with new. The writing section is really tough so it'll be tough getting that 2390.gl.

ouch. ah well, good thing not many schools only take the new SATs...

the old test + the old writing is easier than the new one IMO. hmm anyways with that kind of score, i am sure you ill be looking at the top colleges. apparently i think they do accept the old test scores.

I believe that the old writing SAT II would have been scored harder than the new Writing SAT I simply because of the universe of test-takers, but the CB says that for most students, the scores are similar. There has been some statistical analyses that say that African Americans tended to score better on the essay on the old test. I saw it under educator research last year on the CB website. The old test was taken by 250,000 students, largely from the east and west, most of whom hoped to go to competitive 4-year colleges.
