This may have been posted somewhere. If so, please ignore.

from the CNN article: "But it takes 18 months and 'probably $350,000' to create an entirely new SAT."

That's not an excuse. $350,000 translates into 3-4 man-years of effort. 10,000 test takers @ $41.50 cover that.

so that means they probably repeat sections or entire tests when the Q and A is offered because the questions will no longer be used again. they probably only make 3 new tests every year wen the q and a isnt offered.

Even the ACT recycles tests.

My daughter took the October 2004 ACT and then took it again in December 2005. She said that they were exactly the same tests. The December ACT has the optional Q&A (whereas the 10/04 did not) so it makes sense that they would retire that version of the test after 12/05.

wuts Q and A or wutever and do u kno when this will be repeated again, can i get my hands on past test by any chance?

Wow, they didn't even bother to change the order of the questions?

I agree with StAndrews. If they rewrote all 7 tests a year that would be less than $2.5M. The SAT averages about 1.5M test takers a year (@41.50) leading to $62+M. They would have to invest 4% of their revenues to maintain new tests for everyone. That doesn't seem like too much to do.

but they are lazy u no..lol

will recycled test have the same curves? Like for the Dec.2005 SATl if -1 in math is 780(lets assume it was the curve) the same test( recycled) for Jan 2007 SATl will have the same score?

????????????

CB is just lazy. Not only do they get so much money from registering, but think about score reports and rush reports (which are absoluty ridiculous esp. when ACT charges $13 for the same thing when at CB it is like $45ish).

CB have to be by far the LAZIEST people on EARTH.......
I could go from Here Until LiKe 2 more pages oF posts talking about how lazy they are........................
look at how LONG It takes them to grade the AP tests for example..........

any way to take a look at all of the previous tests?? I'm a pretty bad test taker, so I might just memorize some....when did they begin the SAT testing?

uh..what?? "when did they begin the SAT testing?"????/

as in like when did the SAT start?

That article is insane. What the heck?? Totally not fair.

ya. What year did this system start?
