I am currently a junior (class of '17). Today, my SAT scores came out and I was really disappointed in my performance and my score.
Now, I am considering to take the new SAT because I am not happy with the scores I got on my old SAT.
I want to know: when I send my scores to colleges, would I HAVE to send my bad old SAT scores also, or would I have the option to just send my improved new SAT score?
I am not content with my old SAT scores and I do not want to send those, so do I have an option of choosing what scores I send, or does CollegeBoard send all my scores?
You only have to send what you want them to see. There is a score choice option offered by the college board. But, some school require you send ALL scores. In that case, you are required to send them all. It really depends on the college or university.
You only have to send all scores to those schools that require all scores. Those tend to be highly competitive ones like UPenn. Look on the school’s web sites. The ones that require all scores will state it. Here is an example:
