Old SATs for practice?

So, I'm out of new SATs and have to wait until the new registration booklet is released for another one. But on amazon.com, there's a crap load of old SAT booklets.

Question is, are these good for practice? I already have an 800 in writing; all I need to do is get my math + verbal up to 1600 combined (from a 1540)...so will these tests help?

You can take the exams and see for yourself how much they resemble the actual cb tests…Of course they may help! When are you taking the exam? You still have some time, I guess. In that case, you should find some materials that you can practice. Allthough, you may have a very good preparation even now, but lack of practice could ruin it. Did you try all the books? If so, you could try enrolling in the Sat Online Course offered by the College Board; it has 6 practice tests that are similar to the real exams…Good luck!

Why are you trying to improve a 2340?

Because I don’t like my 780 math…it irks me that I didn’t score perfect. So since I’m retaking it, I may as well shoot for perfect verbal as well.

Your SAT score won’t matter in five years. Let it go.
