Hey all, I was just wondering what the difference, in terms of difficulty, the older ACT Reading (or all subject) tests pose compared to the newer ones this year.
I have been taking several tests on ACT reading and I was just wondering if the passages are easier to understand in our current ACTs and if my scores from the older ones (im talking only around like 2007 at the oldest) would be actually higher overall.
Thanks guys.
Bump. This thread doesn’t appear to be as active as it once was, I assume.
Most reading sections now have the dual passages which are still relatively new to the ACT. I’m almost positive they did not start until 2012ish, if not later. To me, those passages are actually easier than the standard full length passages. It’s really different for every person - if you like the dual passages, tests without them may help you prepare for the other 3 passages. I don’t know if the actual “content” is harder now or not. I range anywhere from a 25 to 33 on reading depending on what the passages are actually about lol.
