Oldest University?

Is Penn really the oldest US university?

Who cares.

I think it's a technicality based on "University" because Harvard and Yale College were around before Penn I think.

both harvard and yale were started for church education, for priests and stuff. penn was definitely the first for practical educaion and definitely had the first med school.

I think it was the first with a liberal arts curriculum

Check out this link from the Princeton website:

Ouch!

i'm pretty sure also that Wharton was the first collegiate business school in the US.

Why all the cockwagging over who is older, anyway?

didn't get your fill earlier macsuile??? Or are you just trying to stir things up...I admire your persistance. :)
