<p>I am considering applying to Ole Miss as a safety because of the Croft Institute. (I want to study IR, but IS with a concentration in politics is also fine). I'm wondering how rigorous the institute really is (I'm very passionate about politics and enjoy an intellectual atmosphere, something I would not associate with Ole Miss). I've heard its much better than the rest of the university, but wanted some more opinions. Also, how difficult is it to get into the institute? I'm one of the top students in my class, african american and I'm hoping for around a 34 ACT. my top choices are Georgetown and Barnard, I'm just wondering if it will be challenging and if its a safety (croft not Ole Miss in general)</p>
