Ole Miss.

Hi guys. I hope I'm posting in the right place, and I have a few questions and hope someone can answer them about Ole Miss.

*Is it hard to get into?

*Is Oxford a good college town?

*And if you can add any other good info tidbits about ole miss I'd appreciate it!

thanks!

It isn’t terribly difficult, but I don’t know the specifics.

Emphatic YES!

Ole Miss has the best tailgating in the United States.

From what I’ve heard, Oxford is an awesome college town. If parties are what you’re looking for, I think it’s pretty good fit. Ole Miss is SEC in every way (even the football is getting there).

I absolutely love Ole Miss. Oxford is far and away the best town in Mississippi, and the school has a really unique feel. I have to agree with NulliSecundus that Ole Miss is an SEC school to its bones, but if you want a slightly quirky southern experience, Ole Miss is superb.

Actually, it’s one of the less selective state flagship universities in the country.

They have some automatic scholarships too, don’t they?

^^^

Not that I recall when I was doing my research (for OOS), but I could very well be wrong.

Alabama, Auburn and LSU have some very nice automatic scholarships.

I’ve heard that Ole Miss is “very southern” and that girls wear dresses a lot.

Ole Miss admits by stats.

Are you instate or out of state?

Scholarships : [The University of Mississippi ? Office of Financial Aid](http://www.olemiss.edu/depts/financial_aid/scholarshiptypes.html)

It seems to me that OOS students need high stats for scholarships.

What is your home state? What are your stats?
