Olin School of Business

Where does Olin School of Business at WashU lie in the rankings and pretige?

Can anyone tell me what employers think of it or what schools have better business programs?

I ask this because I got into Olin yesterday and applied to business at Miami (FL), Georgetown, Notre Dame and Boston College.
Also, if I major in business at either Cornell, Brown, Duke, Dartmouth or Penn, but not as a part of their business schools (ie wharton) , will I likely get as good a job after college as I would at a business school at bc, miami, ND, Wash U or G'Town?

thanks for the help, sorry if this didnt make sense lol

Recruiting is most dependent on the prestige of the school, not whether or not you major in business. Recruiting is much heavier at places like Cornell, Duke, Brown, Dartmouth, Penn, Notre Dame, Wash U and G'town than it is at BC or Miami.

The Ivies and Duke will be the best-recruited, followed by Notre Dame, Georgetown and Wash U.

Right now my list is 1. Penn 2. Dartmouth 3. Brown 4. Cornell 5. Duke 6. WashU (accepted) 7. Georgetown 8. Notre Dame..

Do you guys think this is a good list, considering I intend to study business, but anything is possible. If I were to get into all of these schools (i know i wont lol) what order would you guys put them in for the business programs. And what rank just in terms of the general school?

thanks again

Cornell and Duke should be ahead of brown, wash u should be at the bottom

not because Brown students are not incredibly smart.its just that not many students at brown plan to go into finance

I think your top 5 should all be ranked together...next come Georgetown and Notre Dame and Wash U comes last.

buuuuuumpage
