I’m not exactly sure what you’re asking. What do you mean by “the College”?

Are you talking about another university?

If you’re talking about WUSTL, there are 5 undergraduate “colleges” - Olin, Engineering, Art, Architechture, and ArtSci.

Assuming ArtSci (no one calls it “the College” or “CAS” just fyi), it’s hart to say which is more difficult.

1) Yes, you can apply straight to Olin.

2) All 5 schools have relatively the same standards of admittance because you’re allowed to change between schools easily. You could make an argument for one being more difficult than another, but it makes more sense to look at an applicant individually. For example, someone who took every science/math AP available and not a single art class (b/c they took music, for example) would look a bit weird applying to the Art school instead of Engineering.

I would agree with the above post. I’m not sure which is actually more difficult (stats-wise), but it will depend on your individual situation (like the example with the art school). It is SO easy to switch schools once you are in anyways, that I doubt that any individual school (art, olin, artsci, architecture, engineering) is significantly more difficult to get into when you apply. – that said, there are definitely more ArtSci students and few engineering students for example, and I’m not entirely sure if it is that much more competitive to get into the engineering school.

Yes, I meant the University vs. Olin.

So you guys think about the same difficulty if I applied directly into Olin instead of just the University?.

You still don’t understand. When you apply to the university, you specify which schools you’re interested, e.g. Engineering first choice, ArtSci second choice.

@RaVNzCRoFT - Let’s say I want my number 1 to be business in Olin. Could I then put down as my second choice econ (which I don’t know what school it is in?)?

Both Olin & ArtSci have an econ major.
