anybody, please explain the name of the fastest one to the slowest one.

for domestic:

Express is the fastest (i am sure NO college uses it) (next day)
Priority comes next (2-3 days)
and the slowest is First Class (or actually its the normal) ) (2-5?)

so, you people are saying that Princeton send priority mails to people with acceptance and normal mail to people with deferal or rejection?

I think thats how it goes...So I guess the acceptees will get it earlier

2 words: next week!!!!!

blah..I'm starting to not want to know. I have finals and decathlon tourney next week and I don't want to be preoccupied by by deferral...but on the other hand...OMG NEXT WEEK!

I shall take over the checking of the mail from this weekend, I'd hate for the dramatic moment of truth to be ruined by some other family member running in and saying "YOU GOT DEFERRED!" or "YOU GOT ACCEPTED!"

i've been frantically checking every day's mail since I sent in the app.

I would probably kill any family member who got between me and that letter. Well, maybe that's a bit dramatic, but opening someone's college acceptance/rejection letter is a heartless, heartless act.

starry, are you going to the Decathlon scrimmage in San Antonio next weekend?

Nah, its only locals for us.

"I would probably kill any family member who got between me and that letter. Well, maybe that's a bit dramatic, but opening someone's college acceptance/rejection letter is a heartless, heartless act."

I KNOW my mother is going to open it if she gets it first. She opens everything that piques her interest and is addressed to me. I'm going to race her to the mailbox every day now...

Email I got from Princeton when I asked when they would be mailing:

Hello,

Thank you for writing. We will be mailing early Decision letters on or about December 15, 2005. If you do not receive your letter by December 19th, you may call the office at (609) 258-3060 for your decision. We hope this helps. Good luck to you.

So...I guess it could be earlier.

With each passing day this thread is increasingly mis-named.

it still is probabbly the most popular thread in this forum

True, there is one on the second page that runs somehting like.. OMG 10 days left, but we are somehow still posting here. So, I guess it is partly my fault...

don't worry, i like this "Omg 17 Days" title..........

i wonder why unis don't send out acceptances as they make decisions on each applicant...

then they wouldnt have to clog up the post network with thousands of letters in one day! (or even thousands of thousands)

i hate 60 sec rule.....

I've heard that they accept say 220 ED applicants. But to keep that under 50% of total class they trim a few off the list at the last moment. Besides, they don't have that much time to make the decisions in the first place.
