My grades have gone slightly down, but my school has a brutal grading scale (it goes from A to B+ to B to C, no A+ or A-) and an 88 and below is a C. I still have all As and Bs, so as long as I keep those, I'm fine.

my school:

94-100 A
90-93 B+
84-90 B
80-83 C+

i have all As and Bs....but still....its the trend that the matters, and going from 6As to 2 As is a big red flag

i am in the EXACT same boat...i have no chance at any school close to princeton when (i avoid saying "if") i don't get in ED. When people ask, I tell them I'm going to pton or vcu (lol, i try not to even think about "NVCC"...aka nova).

i HATE that deferred ad....its looks so ominous

it seems to foreshadow future doom....

i wanan get in....can't afford a deferal

I know what you guys mean. I loaded up with 6 APs this year and boy has it been tough. Its either Princeton ED....or bust

for people who are rejected, it's just four years of your entire life, so sit back and think WIDER.......you will feel much better

thanks for the advice - i think i just want to KNOW already. There are a lot of schools that I really like, and while i def love princeton more than/then (idk sry) the others, I feel like it's just the waiting thats killing me

haha. am trying. Actually I'm writing a letter of comfort to myself at the moment- it's to be opened immediately after I recieved the negative decision.

LOL.....GREAT idea. I love it. I'd write one too except i have stanford essays to write, scholarship essays, math portfolio, physics lab, english poetry essay, TOK essay...and they are all due next week!

good call. Can you say 16 page research paper on the Naekd Ape.....Find me some sources....There are like 6...Must use genie to finish

simply put: study hard for your finals, while wait patiently for your letter.

Easier said than done

Sorry I have a random question, my school only does weighted GPA, how is unweighted calculated?.....my average frosh year I assume does not count, my average of meaningful classes sophomore year is 95, my average of meaningful classes junior year is 95.8...what would that translate to on a 4.0 scale?...by meaningful classes I exclude Religion and Gym

don't worry about that.........I think Princeton recalculate only your sophomore and junior's grades on a 4.0 scale.

So did they send out the letters today (Tuesday) or tomorrow (Wednesday)?

Today! (i think) OMG OMG 2 days!

I got an e-mail back today, that said that they were sending them out TODAY, which means tuesday! Regular mail everything though, the acceptnaces are not in priority mail.

All the letters look the same

im not joking kjoodles

ooo, tension and pressure and anxiety! what a perfect combination of emotions before the exams and the winter break!
