but writing in the heat of passion is good! that said i haven't started my princeton app yet, because i doubt i'll get in, i'll do the more realistic schools first

cujoe-- how did you find out it was the 14th? (NOOOOOOOOOO!) : (

haha me and annadale are in the same boat, by the 10th/14th i'll either feel really smart (for not doing my other college apps) or really stupid.... :-P

starry, the ivies seem to have an agreement to release on a common date, and penn said it was the 14th...

no, the common date is only for regular decision. the point of the release date is that no ivy can woo other applicants by telling them earlier than the others. with early decision, this is clearly a nonissue because once the applicant gets in they're not going to any other ivy anyhow (besides possibly Yale or Harvard EA kids). Last year ivys had differing release dates, I remember Brown's to be quite earlier than the rest (about four or five days earlier)

ah, then i was mistaken, but it seems like it is quite an issue among yale/harvard with their sexy scea and all

ok......let's keep praying...........14 more days

did anyone else turn really religious lately? I mean someone who never prayed and considered himself almost agnostic or aetheist suddenly finds himself praying 24/7?

I was SO secular/non-religious before Nov. 1, and nowadays I am like praying all the time and being ulra-nice to everyone (I am always nice, but nowadays its liks ULTRA-nice)

haven't they also already made decisions on quite a few files? I wish they released the decision as soon as they made it

when did they start reviewing them? i was under the impression that they started after thanksgiving break.

oh by the way, hope everyone had a good thanksgiving :)

hey its good to be nice...karma goes around : )

annandale, I turned really religious too. Been saying the rosary every day for my app. If I get in, I'm gonna pray at St. Paul's in Princeton the minute I get to Princeton for Frosh-O.

Whether I get into Stanford or not is going to decide whether I have to write another essay or not. If I do get accepeted then I won't have to write another essay (I've finished all my HYP essays), but if I don't, then I'll have a lot of work to do. :(

i just found out that the two essays i wrote can fit for about 7 schools...

Can we find out online?

I don't think so. Heeyyy, we have almost same number of posts! How weird is that?!!

Are you sure you can't find out online. Someone over in the Stanford forum said that all the Ivies are releasing the results online, but I'm not sure if that is reliable info or not.

for penn....the date is online the 14th at 7pm est

Here's something I did to reduce admissions anxiety:

If you're applying to princeton and you're on CC, you're probably the kind of person whom all of your classmates thinks is a shoe-in. So make a bet with them that you won't get in early: if you don't get in early, you make money; if you do, who cares -- you got into princeton!!

i thought Pton will email you the decision.....no? pleaes confirm.

no email from princeton from what I've heard
