to frenquency43, but what is the point of sending in a mid-year report if i already got admission?

to make sure you aren't in senior slump. but i may be wrong. just ask your counselor.

OMG.....about ELEVEN days left

but 10 is on Saturday, so it might be some other day this year. Hopefully we will get them before the weekend

well not crazy in a good sense, crazy as in insanity and derangement.

I don't know about the rest of you but I will be glad when the decisions are mailed. Whether it be an acceptance or a rejection (hope it is not a deferral) - I will be happy. Of course I would rather receive an acceptance but if I receive a rejection I will be satisfied knowing that Ptn did not deem me a 'right fit'. Therefore, I can get cracking on my other applications and get excited about the other colleges on my list. What is meant to be, will be. In the end, we will all be where we are suppose to be.

Not precisely but I admire your insight worldshopper, i see it as you, do we did our best, so why worry..if we are not meant for Princeton, we are not meant. We tried...

haha, just wondering..how mnay ppl are like me?
I am waiting for my Princeton decision before doing anymore college apps so that on the 10th/11th/12th/w/e I willl feel really smart or really dumb :D

I have all of my others completed, waiting to be sent with the exception of Georgetown which is conveniently due Jan 10th. So no sweat to complete it before x-mas break, so I am waiting... I have completed Rutgers, Yale, Columbia, NYU, TCNJ

Yea, these admission officers are professional, they know what they are doing 99% of the time. If they don't believe I can do the work then I probably can't. If they don't feel my personality will mesh with their student body, it probably won't. If they feel I have nothing to offer the campus, then I probably don't.

If I get rejected it won't be because I didn't give it my best shot. There won't be any thoughts of "if only I had...".

DowJones: If it is any comfort, I am only about 25% done with my other applications and haven't even started the essays! I have, however, given my g.c. all the materials and my teachers are writing the recs. My g.c. is sending everything out on Dec. 16 and I will spend Winter Break writing essays and completing my applications & supplements. I am applying (well, hopefully not) to: UVA, William & Mary, Cornell and University of Richmond.

yeah, I am being forced to turn in my forms to GC as the deadline for Jan 1 deadlines is Dec 1. SO I will be turning in stuff to her for my regular colleges in couple of days. I have given some of the recs to my teachers.

As for the essays and apps, I haven't started anyothers yet. Hopefully I wouldn't need to. The only one that really worries me is Stanford with its deadline of Dec 15, and it is like my second or third choice.

Hopefully, I will feel smart about not doing other apps. I just want my owl (acceptance) soon.

11 days...ah the longs are so long. I'm just submitting all my apps right now anyways because I know I'll be deferred/

"the longs are so long" someones preoccupied! ;)

LOL I mean the days are so long...my mind is so fried

let's start predicting the ED Pton acceptance rate this year.

Using the my Pton brain power, I predict it will be 27% this year.

What was it last year?

it was 29% for class of 2009 and 32% for class of 2008.

I am guessing 28-29%

while the apps went up, so did the number of people they want to enroll.

But they only added 25 more people this year, didn't they? And I'd assume that's split evenly between ED and regular.

Brown announced the results will be put online on th 12th at about 5 pm... so I really don't know about Pton... but considering last year Brown posted online ther results before Pton mailed their....
