Omg 17 Days

I'm banking on mid-December. No need to nail down a date... A day is only 24hrs, we have already waited enough.. will one or two mroe days hurt us? No, not at all. So, try to relax. Then after you get the letter... Well, to each his own.

the interviews are not a large part of the application process. My math teacher is a Princeton interviewer and says that accepting an interview shows interest, and that it's nice to ensure that the applicants aren't psychotic in person (she seriously said that; there've been issues with that before). Also, if an applicant has a unique question or situation, it helps. But it is in no way a large part of the process, and they wouldn't completely reevaluate everyone based on interviews.

I got a fat white package from Princeton in the mail today!!

It was an application.

Oh, the cruelty. :D

why would they send an app now, the apps would be crap if done in one month, esp. essays...

umm.....I did mine the weekend before it was due...

and I am sure I wasn't the only one.

I feel like the longer I have to work on my essays, the more changes I’m compelled to make so that when it’s time to submit it, it feels all dull and boring.

If it is the 14th, that means I'll be so depressed right before I take my finals.

I have a new theory about passage of time....

you know how we say "time is flying" on a weekend....and in some classes time passes soooo SLOWLY...well....I think both of these phenomenan can occur at the same time

we see time from different frame of references...and the speed with which time passses with reference to each is different....and time can be passing at different speed at the same time...

totally lost? sounds really abstract?

well, here is the real life example that made me come up with this theory...
my Extended Essay is due Dec 15, my college acceptance (hopefully) comes on Dec 15 too
when I think of EE the time seems to fly; however, at the same time when I think of my acceptance letter...the time seems to be crawling as slow as it can.

So...at the same time the time is flying and crawling...depending on what reference I use.

I hope it made SOME sense....otherwise...I guess I am just retarded :-D

whoa..I never thought of it that way. What is time really anyways?

ok, i live like in zone 5 from NJ; if Pton does send the letter out at 14, i will need to wait until like 12/19 or later...........how sad. why can't we call Pton after 12/15 if we do not receive the letter?

I suppose you COULD call... but would you really want to hear it over the phone?

i have finals on dec. 16th. so, if i get rejected, i will be disappointed and fail the exams. if i get accepted, i will constantly think about princeton and fail the exams. so, looks like i will fail the exams, no matter what happens. lol.

frozen-tears: omg; that is just beyond cruel!

same thing here, i will fail my finals no matter what.........

But guys, we CAN'T Fail our finals if we are deferred. Thats the sucky part.

i think they gave a really conservative guestimate just so that no one is freaking out on dec. 14 if the letters were supposed to be mailed on dec 8 for example... but perhaps im just being anxiously optimistic...

Haha, I'm hoping that you're right.

u guys have no idea how ****ty it is to be an int'l...we add roughly 3+ days to the release date...argh argh ARGH!

how I wish i could get the decision right now!
if i don't get in early , then i am screwed in the RD round. I screwed my ap chem in the fall term, only a c+!, a major slip in my gpa :(

12 more days until Dec. 15th....
