i got a freaking 1460 on the sat... and i mean out of 2400... so its 1460/2400 -_-. am i screwed? im a sophmore so i have plenty of time to retake and i didnt study b4 i took it but is it gonna hurt me A LOT when i m applying for colleges???~~!~~ omg -- i got a 470 on CR, 480 on Math, and 510 on Writing... this sux >>

they can see that u improved, tho i would only retake when ur confident

ok i don't understand why you would take it if you're only a sophomore and you clearly had no idea what you were doing and you didn't even study before. like, it doesn't even make sense that you're complaining about it as if you're surprised.

Obviously, you don't know that colleges see ALL your SAT scores or you would have at least tried to prepare for it...

i thought they saw the ones u want them to see, i found out recently.

Man it's not that serious, don't let these people bug you out. One, the national average is like 1500 or something, for seniors, so I mean it's not that bad. Two, you have years to do better, and at least a solid two more shots before you need to start worrying. Now you know the format of the test and all, so just relax for now and wait to worry about this.

Best way to imp CR is to read, same for writing. As for math don't ask me I only got a 650 lol.

i honestly dont see why ppl freak out over sats that much. I feel like no1 on this forum cares for the ACT lol. its way easier.

take the ACT. you obviously suck (sorry) at the SAT. good luck

bobob, it's nice to get a benchmark.

sushant, you're just below the natl average for SENIORS.

by the time you're senior, you'll be well above it.

Scores don't dramatically increase >600 points in one year..

i increased 300 points in one year :) 1880 to 2180

you really should have canceled. the curse about the SAT is that, even if you do well on the act, if they want the subject tests, i think they see ur sat Is too

no. you have to send all of your sat scores.

next time you take it, just be prepared! buy a book and study for it. use testing strategies. you're only a sophomore, so you have plenty of time to do this! i'm sure that if you get a good score next time the colleges will figure out that you just weren't prepared enough to take them your sophomore year.

yes true mmcheezitsyay. I did not prepare for this SAT at all. Its just that i overestimated my abilites. I thought i would get 1600-1700. Oh well, guess ill have something to do next summer ^_^.
