don't give up...my daughter just got the big envelope, priority mail, admission for spring! my older daughter just bought her her FIRST OFFICIAL SWEATSHIRT!

Congrats! My husband just bought a USC t-shirt from Costco and the minute he put them on there were already people cheered for USC in the parking lot. He was glad it was a USC shirt and not UCLA. He would have been mopped. :D

Congrats ellebud! Was your daughter also one of the "acted upon on Mar 29" hopefuls? Also could you post her stats?
On a different note, I am also a "Mar 29 acted upon" with a Mar 26 review. I also noticed that my financial aid status was updated on Mar 28 and it said that all the documents were received and it was under review. I checked this at

I also called the admissions office this morning and they told me that decision letter was mailed out on Friday (still have not received it).

she submitted a paper application so we don't know the exact date, but she was given the status of it's in the mail a day or two before the 29th. we did not apply for financial aid.

her stats..3.3 and 1750. she had some special ecs and circumstances...

stupid question but your costco has USC shirts??? mine doesnt have any school clothing lol

in big college cities you will always find school stuff sold

Congratulations ellebud! Great news!
Best of luck kuthapyar!

Congrats to your daughter!! :D

Ellebud- Great news for your family. My daughter is appealing, even though the odds are not high (Only 44 accepted last year out of more than 600). Your earlier advice about appeals was excellent. My D went to a demanding private college prep school and her GPA and SATs are a little higher than your daughter's. She included new information about ECs in her senior year (volunteering with Habitat Humanity, etc). We also have a family friend who is a VP at SC and asked him to put in a good word. Not sure if this will be enough. My husband, her grandmother and I are all alums and would love her to go.
