OMG! Am I screwed?

I just realized I made a grammar mistake on my Common App application, on the Activity essay.

I wrote "use my negative experiences and turn into something positive" instead of "turn THEM".

Should I contact admissions about this? I'm so worried because I already contacted them once (due to ANOTHER minor mistake... added an extra year to one of my ECs) and now they'll just think "Oh, she made 2 errors on her application. She's careless and doesn't pay attention". What should I do? :S

I don’t think you’re “screwed”. There is the possibility that the reader might not notice the mistake. More than likely, if the reader does notice it it won’t truly make that much of a difference.

^So you think I should just let it go? I shouldn’t contact Admissions?

Coupled with your low Toefl score this may critically damage your chances of admission.

And if you do contact them they’ll think that you’re OCD - take you pick. ;-)

^Is that worse than thinking I don’t know how to use proper grammar? :S

HAHAHA. Just leave it. I didn’t even notice until you pointed it out. When they are speed reading through them, their brains end up putting it in…because brains are that awesome. (Had 4 of those last year).

Even if you do change it, chances are they won’t care or think badly of it.
