OMG! Am I screwed?!

I didn't use the Stanford mailing labels for my second school report and teacher evaluations? But Stanford clearly stated that applicants are asked to use the labels? Am I screwed? What should I do?

no, you're not screwed. but the assistant who opens your files might get ****ed, but that's all.

they'll send a confirmation email to you in a few weeks; just make sure they've received your ssr and recs. if not, have your school/teacher resend them .. this time using the labels.

Thanks! I won't forget about them this time.

this may be a stupid question, but if a teacher opts to do the common app rec electronically, then obviously the stanford labels are not needed, right?

(just making sure... cuhs stanford didn't specify)

LOL! I just spent a minute laughing at the beginning of your post, StanfordMom09!

gee, thank you very much stanfordMom.

What are these mailing labels? I hand wrote the admission's address on the envelopes that I gave my teachers.

Geckolord: It's always good to read the instructions for the application to the schools to which you apply ;)

Naturally you don't need to use the labels for submitting the common app online. That would be... uh... strange. An empty envelope with a label on it. The people who sort the stuff might laugh.

Bobby

Do they not send the confirmation e-mails until after our apps have been submitted? And, uh, for one of my rec letters, is it fine that it is coming from my Theory of Knowledge teacher? It's sort of a Social Studies class.

I used the common app. The common app asks to address documents to the given address. I got in. I did not use labels.

My confirmation email (from Stanford) was sent a couple weeks after I submitted the application. To check on the status of other materials go to Axess and log on as a guest.

As for your teacher, most colleges recommend a rec from a "core" teacher. That being said, I doubt that they will reject you for using a non core teacher. I wouldn't worry.
