OMG guys, I need your help...College sucks!

She slapped me and call me a freak and everyone laughed at me.

Be glad that's all you got...you could have been accused of sexual harassment.

Next time, stick with World of Warcraft, it's a lot safer and more constructive than these college alcohol parties (educated guess of course, I don't play WoW, but I do play another MMO)...although to be honest, I haven't had time for my MMO lately, so much stuff to do =(

Everyone laughed when you tried to kiss her? Were these mostly guys or girls. I can't see a group of guys laughing at another guy getting slapped because he tried to kiss a girl. That's...cruel.

fake

in any case, don't talk to women

[/quote]

why????????

no, forget "safe," few rewards come to those who stay stubbornly their boundaries. if the story is real, props to the OP for trying something new (but still reasonable...not like hallucinogens or something). and WoW constructive?...you gain very few adaptable skills, and at most you end up with a beefed up character in an unreal, digital world. at least at a party, you can work on social skills that will carry you throughout life, and you more than likely will end up meeting some cool people. speaking of beefing up, sports or other physical activities are still relatively "safe," but far more rewarding. this is coming from a HS valedictorian who used to play UT2003/4 and CoD aaaall the time, so yeah...

anyways...fake story or not...pretty amusing, i'd believe it :D

If this story is true, then this is the moral(s):

If you have never drinked before, don't overdo it.

NEVER EVER mention World of Warcraft (or any other video game) when trying to be romantic.

Ask if she likes to play Wii. If so, you know what to say next... :D

Make sure to mention you have all rare items next time, and problem solved.

I hope this is a joke...

Never talk about video games with girls. It's usually a turn-off.

world of warcraft...kidding me rite?

That's why I don't drink. Never know what'll happen

I think you kinda missed the point. The problem was WoW, not the drinking. Drinking=good, WoW=bad, at least if you want any kind of social life.

oh my god, this is a pretty old thread, but I couldn't help the laughter.

WoW. . . that's a bit harsh now.

Liek OMG I totally just told all the mages and shamans in Stormwind about this and then I teleported to Darnassus and shouted it in the /trade channel. All the lowbies wuz liek "OMG that dude = pwnzord" but then I had to go into the Black Temple to get my lazt peece of Tier 6 Gear....

Ha. I play WoW, I'm not going to lie. Like so many others amongst the 9.4 million players in the world, I'm not the 'sterotypical' WoW guy either. Most of the better college applicants that play WoW won't be. To succeed in life you have to be confident and socially skilled. Furthermore, it's definitely possible to find attractive girls playing WoW (rare, but possible). More common than that, it's easy to find girls that appreciate the more nerdy side of things.

With that said, you DID do two things wrong. 1: Bring up WoW without and hint that she was even a gamer. 2: This is the main one. You tried to kiss her too quickly.

Maybe if she was TOTALLY feeling you, or if she was just looking for a hookup, you could have pulled it off, but nope. All of this is understandable because you were drunk, but in the future, if you can, try to learn from these mistakes.

you talked about WoW when trying to be romantic? LOL!!!

Just to crack everyone up, I might try that next time...if I ever get invited to a party

this situation seems like something straight out of a movie...never talk about videogames with girls unless they talk about them first and express interest

Hey, you can talk about WoW with girls! ***! Just OWN it. Be PASSIONATE about everything you do!

Passion is one of the major things girls find attractive in guys. If you've got a passion for WoW, that's awesome. Own it!!! But yeah, you've gotta know when to kiss a girl and when not to. Just keep interacting with girls, keep flirting with them, keep playing with them... eventually you'll start to realize when you've got their interest and when you don't. If she's looking deep into your eyes and you can allow a moment of silence together like that... and your faces are relatively close together... that's a time to go in for a kiss.

There's a really good book on the subject. if you want to be really good with girls (in real life AND getting girls through WoW itself), READ THIS BOOK! it will change your life. i wish i had read this when i was in college.

Oh my goodness amisheskimo, you have incredible knowledge on the subject of women... its like scary.

Any guys on this site better find out what book he read because his post was incredible, profound, amazing.

on a lighter note, me and my buddies watch Talk Sex with Sue Johannsen on the Oxygen Network, and some girl called in complaining that her boyfriend wanted her to call him by his WoW characters name and stuff like that. it was hilarious. I can only begin to imagine how ugly the 2 of them are
