<p>Due to name change (I'm an International Student, and I had to change my
English name to Korean name), I had to request my scores
to colleges on Nov 3rd.
When I requested to send the scores, my November scores
had to be sent for some reason. I could not take the check
sign of November test away.
So I just sent the scores, thinking CB would send previous scores first
and then the Nov scores.
Yesterday, when I contacted UMich, they said my scores had to be
in by the deadline and therefore I am out of the EA applicants.
It is so frustrating and irritating....
They said UMich is rolling base and they will consider my application
on early January. Does that mean I can get my result sometime
around January?</p>
<p>I am just writing this just to prevent more potential victims for next year.
If you are a junior and thinking of applying to Michigan EA, send them
early and request for additional score reports if you are willing to send your
November scores too. Never use the free reporting when you need to
send the scores early.</p>

<p>btw the email I got from Umich said that they received 17000 EA
applicants this year.
How does that number compare to the previous ones?</p>
<p>previous years admissions was rolling so there was no EA so there is no number to compare that to, and may i ask in what e-mail you got that number from? because in the e-mail i got confirming that i qualified for EA there was no mention of that number.</p>
<p>Well the email I was talking about was the reply I received
from the admissions office when I asked about my application status
I got another email saying that I am disqualified for EA
Basically they were saying that they already had received a lot of
applications, and therefore they cannot make any exception for me.</p>
<p>If it’s any consolation, now you’ll be one of the first in line for Umich’s rolling admissions</p>
<p>That’s kinda funny cuz I marked “normal decision” on my app accidentally but turned everything in in time and called them the day afterwards to beg them to fix my app to EA… and i got the EA email and everything</p>
<p>Boom, BOom, BOOm, BOOM! Another one bites the dust …</p>
<p>JK, dont sweat it Im sure you have the same chance as ED, and like the person before me said you will be one of the first in the rolling list</p>

<p>My Oct sat scores got delayed, so I missed the EA deadline. Apparently, I should have sent my previous scores instead of just depending on the Oct ones. Completely missed that info on the website… </p>
