AHHHHH. So I was just about to go to bed when I was like what the heck let me just check ONE last time I mean, technically it IS Wednesday.

BAMMMM. THERE IT IS! CONGRATULATIONS!...

AHHHH I FEEL LIKE CRYING. I was jumping up and down. I've worked SO SO SO SO SO hard for this. I got into Summer Freshman Class, but I am just so happy about getting in at all and I'm going to try and appeal for Fall because they didn't get my second semester transcript plus I think I am going to switch majors.

HOOK 'EM BABY!

OH and to clear things up. My status page had said CoLA but I still got into my first choice major of Biology. So yeah.

OMG YOU GUYS! NOTHING is impossible.

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE ELSE! I'm still rooting for all of you!

My s text messaged me this morning that almost all of his friends that applied (out of top 10%) got in, most in summer. They are all planning on going. Many were barely in or just out of the top 25% with decent test scores, good ec's.

I would seriously take advantage of the summer freshman opportunity. I did this and I've never regretted it. With my AP scores and the classes I did that summer, I'm never going to have to take more than 15 hours my entire academic career (and I'm double majoring). You should be glad you have this opportunity; I've heard of people -trying- to get into that summer program. Congrats on getting in overall and don't let this thing be bitter for you, it should be just the opposite. But that's just my opinion.

Thanks Apx! Those are great words of encouragement. I talked to admissions today and the lady I talked to said the chances of me getting my appeal passed is probably like 0 haha since it's like I'm already into UT, just that I have to start a bit earlier.

I'm still going to try but the more I think about it, the more I really am beginning to like it. I'd still be able to go to regular orientation, I'd still be able to go to Camp Texas I think, and I could get some classes that I really want out of the way well, out of the way! Haha.

Apx since everyone in Orientation is forced to stay in Jester does that mean us Summer kids get the other dorms i.e. SAN JACINTO! Haha I won't be living in SanJac once fall comes around but it'd be nice to have it for the summer!

I'm really not sure about the dorm situation, I stayed my summer and first year at Castilian (don't stay there by the way).

Also, this gives you a great chance to familiarize yourself with the campus. You just about have the 40 acres all to yourself. This'll give you a step up on the rest of the incoming class, making you all the wiser and cooler. On top of that, they're almost all small classes, so it'll be a good transition between high school and the gigantic auditoriums that you'll soon be accustomed to.
